Job summary

V2X, Inc. in Maryland seeks an Avionics Technician to install, test, and repair avionics equipment on assigned aircraft, including radar, navigation, and communications systems.

You will perform inspections, troubleshooting, calibration, and documentation with minimal supervision. Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of electronic principles, ability to read schematics, hands-on soldering and test equipment skills, and a valid State driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair is required.
• Four (4) years recent experience in the repair of aircraft avionics, com/nav, or instrument systems of the AT-6, C-12, C-26, F-18, F-35, NU-1B, T-6B, T-38C, U-6A or AV-8B aircraft.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level Department of Defense security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex aircraft avionics equipment.
• Repairs or replaces components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
• Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation.
