Job summary

V2X is seeking an Avionics Technician to install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics and associated systems on aircraft. The role is based at Patuxent River, MD within the NTWL program, requiring independence and adherence to safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of electronic principles, the ability to read schematics, and hands-on experience with aviation test equipment. A DoD security clearance may be required for this position.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair is required.
• Four (4) years recent experience in the repair of aircraft avionics, com/nav, or instrument systems of the E-2C/D aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex aircraft avionics equipment.
• Uses complex test equipment to perform operational checks on avionics systems.
• Repairs or replaces components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
• Performs calibration, repair and replacement of system components based on test results following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents.
• Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and references CAMS documentation.
