Job summary

V2X Inc. seeks an Avionics Technician in Patuxent River, MD, to install, inspect, test, and repair avionics on aircraft such as radar, comms, navigation and missile control systems. The role operates at NTWL with supervision mostly independent.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of avionics repair experience, a High School diploma, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Expect rigorous safety, documentation, and CAMS compliance in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair is required.
• Four (4) years recent experience in repair of aircraft avionics, com/nav, or instrument systems (E-2C/D).
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational checks, bench checks, troubleshoots, and isolates malfunctions in complex aircraft avionics equipment.
• Uses test equipment such as CW/pulse generators, TDRs, multi-trace oscilloscopes, frequency counters, multi-meters for checks.
• Repairs or replaces components based on test results per blueprints and manuals.
• Calibrates, repairs, and replaces system components per documentation.
• Maintains safety, FOD awareness, and housekeeping at all times.
• Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and CAMS documents.
• Complies with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series during maintenance.
