Job summary

UniFirst Corp. is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in and cover delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable.

You will load, transport, and unload clean garments, maintain route efficiency, and uphold safety and company standards while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include supporting new account installations, conducting inventory audits, and maintaining vehicle safety.

Qualifications

• Driver’s License & Safe Driving Record: Must be at least 21 years old with a valid license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• DOT Compliance: Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
• Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong Customer Service Skills: Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset and providing excellent customer service.
• Relevant Experience: Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery, roles is a plus!
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using and learning new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop Proficiency Across Multiple Routes: Learn routes and customer-specific details to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver Garments and Product to Customers: Load, transport, and unload garments and products on established routes.
• Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Problem Solving: Resolve customer requests independently to ensure satisfaction.
• Operational Excellence: Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
• Safety: Follow traffic laws and safety standards for yourself and customers.
• Route Support: Support new account installations and rerouting efforts; assist on routes and with collections.
• Effective Communication: Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local competitors.
