Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a Recruiter to support multiple Service Centers with recruitment, onboarding and training of new hires. The role involves travel to centers, career fairs and events to build a strong candidate pipeline.

You will collaborate with the Recruiting Manager, review applications, interview candidates (in-person and virtual), and coordinate interviews for Hiring Managers. Experience in HR/recruiting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong accuracy and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Team player with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for candidate interactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience conducting interviews and reviewing applications is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Previous HR/recruiting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to travel to Service Centers, career fairs, school or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align strategies with goals.
• Develop and source a strong candidate pipeline via social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and agencies.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interview applicants in-person and virtually.
• Set up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Follow up with candidates during the interview process.
• Advance candidates through the interview and hiring process in the ATS.
• Create training schedules for new employees.
• Assist new hires with onboarding and orientation at Service Centers.
• Train new Service Center employees.
• Maintain communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
