Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our extended care team. The PTA provides PT services under the supervision of a licensed therapist, implementing treatment plans to improve mobility and reduce pain.

The role involves administering therapies, documenting progress, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain FL State PTA license.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Experience in hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Experience with EMR and rehabilitation documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision.
• Monitor patient response and document progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to support outcomes.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility training.
