Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN) to support the rehabilitation team. The PTA implements treatment plans under a licensed PT, delivers exercises, monitors progress, and documents outcomes.

Florida licensed PTA with BLS, hospital or rehab experience preferred. EMR experience is desired. The role offers opportunities within the UHS network and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Remain current FL State PTA License.
• Remain current BLS Cert.
• One year of experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records and rehabilitation documentation systems preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and safe therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities and monitor patient progress.
• Document patient responses and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support outcomes.
• Maintain safety and compliance with standards and policies.
