Job summary

AEP is seeking a Project Manager to oversee base, intermediate, and complex projects in a matrix team. You will lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communications to deliver projects safely and efficiently while maximizing customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate procurement, manage contractors, and drive process improvements, with opportunities to grow to more complex programs within a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent with 3+ years in project management, outage experience preferred.
• Competence in managing scope, cost estimating, contracting and project controls.
• Knowledge of safety, risk management, and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate procurement for outside resources and manage vendor performance.
• Closeout processes and assessment of project benefits.
