Job summary

AEP seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large, complex programs in a matrix environment. You will guide initiation through closure, supervise outages, and apply both Waterfall and Agile methods to ensure on-time delivery and safety compliance.

Candidates should have a PMP, strong stakeholder communication, risk management, and construction safety expertise, with experience in utilities or IT systems and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, PM, CS, or related field with 7–10 years qualified experience.
• Associate’s degree in the same disciplines with 9–12 years qualified experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 11–14 years qualified experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple highly complex projects or programs within a matrix team environment.
• Lead, direct, train, coordinate, and communicate throughout project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and supervise customer project and outage activities.
• Apply Waterfall and Agile project management principles and techniques.
• Supervise and coordinate project/outage plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staff.
