Job summary

Washington State University in Pullman, WA is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Department of Chemistry's undergraduate programs. You will act as the primary resource for students, faculty, and leadership, assisting with scheduling, enrollment, and data reporting.

The role includes coordinating curriculum, events, awards, communications, and general administrative support for staff and faculty, with potential limited graduate program support.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with two years of full-time clerical experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet established deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound, professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Undergraduate course scheduling and enrollment management.
• Coordination of undergraduate curriculum, assessment, and accreditation activities, preparation of data reports and recruitment materials.
• Coordination of undergraduate events and outreach initiatives.
• Administration of awards and scholarships.
• Administrative support for departmental faculty, students, and staff.
• Provide limited administrative and operational support for graduate program operations as needed.
