Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist in providing direct resident care and related activities. You will help implement treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold infection control and safety standards within the facility.

The role requires collaboration with the rehabilitation team, education for residents and families, and assistance with equipment ordering while maintaining confidentiality and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in the state (as required by licensing).
• Proficient in PTA documentation practices.
• Ability to collaborate with the rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident care and treatment.
• Document accurately and timely per agency policies.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home programs.
• Assist with ordering durable medical equipment as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
• Communicate progress to physicians, nursing staff, and families.
