Qualifications

• Requires licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the relevant state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Board eligible and must complete board exam on next available date and complete required CE for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and evidence after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Completes daily documentation and charges in the therapy EMR.
