Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under the supervising physical therapist. The PTA will educate patients and families, document progress, and adjust therapy based on patient response and clinical evidence.

Responsibilities include administering therapies (including aquatic therapy where applicable), documenting in the EMR, and coordinating with the PT and referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) preferred for Illinois-based regulation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the PT plan of care; adjusts treatment with communication and daily notes.
• Completes documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes required annual education for HIP/Knee programs where applicable.
• Interacts with PT to coordinate patient treatment interventions.
