• Educate patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and documents communication and patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care. Adjusts the treatment based on patient response and available evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education as assigned to comply with program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT. Provides treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation treatment. Provides aquatic therapy. Completes daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring provider.
