J.H. Larson Company, an independent distributor of Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC products, seeks an Outside Sales Representative for the Plymouth, MN location.

You will generate new business, manage existing accounts, and interface with customers and suppliers while meeting monthly quotas and margins. The role involves traveling up to 50% and collaborating with inside sales, project managers, and quotations specialists to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sales experience in electrical or construction industry
• Ability to manage complex accounts and read and understand simple instructions
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking and events
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors through follow-up, meetings, and personalized service
• Negotiate terms and close sales with customers
• Manage customer orders including writing orders, submittals, shipping, billing, and issue resolution
• Provide feedback on pricing, service, products, and customer needs
• Attend sales meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure tasks are completed
• Document sales activities in CRM and keep client records up to date
