Job summary

J.H. Larson Company is seeking an energetic Inside Sales professional in Plymouth, MN to drive sales and deliver exceptional service from 6am to 3pm, M–F. You’ll work with outside sales, project managers, and order teams to ensure smooth orders and a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities include writing orders, cross-selling, problem-solving, and engaging customers via multiple channels. The role emphasizes quota achievement, product knowledge, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years related sales experience; knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC components preferred.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Proficient in organizing and multitasking tasks.

Responsibilities

• Write orders for customers and cross-sell to promote additional products that align with customer needs.
• Answer questions, research and problem solve customer orders and respond to digital orders via phone, email, text etc.
• Oversee submittal, shipping, expediting, and billing processes on jobs.
• Identify and qualify potential customers through cold calls, emails, or inbound inquiries and grow customer relations through site visits and other customer engagement events.
• Participate in market planning and implementation of market strategies, sales meetings, vendor training and vendor representative engagement.
• Partner with other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences.
• Provide feedback to management on pricing, service, products, customer needs etc.
• Cover age for Counter Sales.

This is an on-site position that is responsible for driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service from 6am until 3pm M-F. Inside Sales works cooperatively with outside sales, project managers, quotation specialists, and other members of the distribution team to ensure seamless order and service experience. This role builds relationships by understanding new and existing customer needs and by providing personalized value-added support. This role works to exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.
