Job summary

Hancock Whitney Corp. in Texas is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to cover our Kirby, Ridgewood Plaza San Antonio, Austin and Mesquite markets. You will originate portfolio loans, including conventional, FHA, VA and USDA/RD, while promoting Bank products to clients and communities.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of mortgage origination experience and 2 years of sales experience are required. NMLS registration is required after hire, with strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2 years of sales experience required.
• 2+ years of mortgage origination experience preferred.
• NMLS registration required after hire.
• Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Originate portfolio loans and comply with investor guidelines.
• Develop and maintain referral networks with Realtors and others.
• Manage a loan pipeline and coordinate with processors, underwriters, and closers.
• Provide timely disclosures and closing information.
• Travel as needed to cover markets in TX.
