Job summary

Hancock Whitney in Houston is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to originate portfolio loans including conventional, FHA, VA and USDA programs, ensuring compliance with investor requirements and state/federal laws. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2 years of sales experience required.
• 2+ years of Mortgage origination experience preferred.
• Active NMLS registration under the SAFE Act is required upon employment.
• Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations at federal and state levels.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access; Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mortgage advice to potential borrowers.
• Develop and maintain referral networks with real estate agents and other partners.
• Manage a clean loan pipeline, coordinating with processors, underwriters and closers.
• Deliver all disclosures and compliance documents promptly.
• Coordinate loan closings with borrowers, agents and title companies.
