Ameris Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate and close mortgage loans through direct client engagement and referral networks. You will work with realtors, builders, and branches to grow the loan portfolio and meet production goals.

The role requires knowledge of mortgage products and servicing, compliance with NMLS requirements, and strong customer service with a focus on responsible lending and accurate documentation throughout the loan lifecycle.

Qualifikationen

• Experience using mortgage origination applications.
• Effective utilization of a contact management system.
• Knowledge of mortgage products/servicing, operations, and current market trends.
• Proven mortgage production of $5 million over the past year.
• Proven success in establishing referral relationships.

Aufgaben

• Maintain an active Ameris Bank sponsored Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) number in compliance with the S.A.F.E Act.
• Establish and maintain client relationships with realtors, builders, developers, branches and referral agents.
• Contact potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Assist customers with completing loan applications and required documentation.
• Oversee loan process by monitoring status and ensuring terms are met.
• Coordinate with loan processors and branches to manage workflow and updates.
