Ameris Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to drive loan origination and close mortgage loans. The role requires building and maintaining relationships with real estate professionals, clients, and referral sources while ensuring regulatory compliance and high ethical standards.

You will counsel clients on suitable products, assist with applications, and coordinate with processors. A strong production background and knowledge of mortgage products are essential to succeed.

Competenze

• Experience using mortgage origination applications.
• Proven mortgage production of $5 million over the past year.
• Proven success in establishing referral relationships.
• Knowledge of mortgage products/servicing and current market trends.
• Proficient with a contact management system.

Mansioni

• Maintain an active NMLS number in compliance with SAFÉ Act requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, developers, and branches.
• Contact potential or existing customers to develop new business.
• Counsel customers on eligible products and avoid steering.
• Assist customers with loan applications and disclosures; submit within timelines.
• Oversee loan process and monitor status for term conformity.
• Coordinate with loan processors and share status updates timely.
• Network to promote loan products monthly through industry events.
• Attend all purchase loan closings on behalf of Ameris Bank Mortgage.
• Communicate with branch managers on sales calls and pipeline reviews.
• Support cross-selling opportunities with other bank products.
• Stay informed on Ameris Bank Mortgage programs and regulatory requirements.
• Meet or exceed production standards; participate in required meetings.
• Adhere to work schedule and complete training as assigned.
• Practice ethical sales behaviors aligned with integrity and honesty.
