Ameris Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate and close mortgage loans, building relationships with realtors, builders, and branches while meeting production targets.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in mortgage and customer service experience, familiarity with mortgage products, and use of origination applications and CRM systems; a high school diploma is required, bachelor’s preferred. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience using mortgage origination applications.
• Effective utilization of a contact management system.
• Knowledge of mortgage products/servicing, operations, and current market trends.
• Proven mortgage production of $5 million over the past year.
• Proven success in establishing referral relationships.
• Minimum 1 year of Mortgage experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain an active Ameris Bank sponsored Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) number in compliance with the federal S.A.F.E Act requirements.
• Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, developers, branches and other referral agents.
• Contact potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Counsel customers on products eligible to meet their financial needs without steering to a specific product.
• Assist customers with loan applications and disclosures within required timelines.
• Oversee loan process by monitoring status and ensuring terms are followed.
• Coordinate with loan processors and branch managers to update on status and complete documentation.
• Attend purchase loan closing transactions on behalf of Ameris Bank Mortgage.
• Meet production targets as detailed in compensation agreement.
