You will develop individualized plans, use varied instructional strategies, monitor progress with assessments, and participate in SST/IEP meetings to ensure effective interventions and student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• Experience in a classroom or intervention in a secondary school setting.
• Current valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement(s).

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group or one-on-one instruction to students requiring intervention in literacy and mathematics.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans aligned with student needs, classroom goals, and state standards.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Incorporate technology to support and enhance student learning during intervention sessions.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students needing intervention services based on data from assessments, teacher observations, and standardized tests.
• Work with special education teachers, reading specialists, and instructional coaches to align intervention strategies with classroom instruction.
• Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, parents, and administration regarding student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
• Participate in meetings such as SST and IEP meetings to support students requiring additional academic support.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and determine the effectiveness of interventions.
• Use assessment data to make informed decisions about instruction, grouping, and instructional strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and interventions.
• Establish a structured, supportive, and positive learning environment conducive to student success.
• Implement behavior management techniques that encourage students to stay on task and actively participate in intervention sessions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in intervention strategies, literacy, and mathematics instruction.
• Actively participate in full implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
• Assisting in orientation and open houses as needed.
• Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day.
• Assisting in conducting school-wide benchmark assessments when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
