Job summary

The Mansfield Middle School is seeking a Supplemental Intervention Teacher for Reading and/or Math for the 2026-2027 school year. The role provides targeted academic support, delivers evidence-based interventions, monitors progress, and collaborates with classroom teachers and families to boost student achievement within the MTSS framework.

This grant-funded, hourly position is not to exceed 29.5 hours per week and carries no benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching license/certificate for middle school.
• Knowledge of evidence-based reading and math intervention practices for adolescents.
• Understanding of middle school curriculum, assessment practices, and instructional strategies.
• Ability to analyze academic data to inform instruction and intervention decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and/or individual intervention services in reading and/or mathematics.
• Deliver research-based interventions aligned to district standards and goals.
• Use assessment data to identify skill deficits and design targeted plans.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners including ELs and students with disabilities.
• Reinforce foundational literacy and numeracy to close gaps and accelerate achievement.
• Collaborate with teachers to align interventions with grade-level content.
• Maintain records of student progress and intervention schedules.
• Analyze data regularly to adjust strategies and groupings.
