Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in Reading, Literacy, Math, or related content area is preferred.
• Certification: Valid teaching certification in relevant content area or grade level is required.
• Special education or intervention certification is preferred.
• 2+ years of classroom teaching experience, with focus on students needing extra academic support.
• Experience using intervention programs and progress-monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to small groups or one-on-one students, focusing on literacy, math, or core subjects based on needs.
• Assess student needs using formative and summative assessments and monitor progress regularly.
• Develop individualized or small-group instructional plans with teachers and support teams.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to teachers, administrators, and families.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and instructional leaders to align with classroom instruction.
• Engage families and communicate instructional goals and strategies for home support.
• Maintain accurate records of intervention plans, progress, and changes in compliance with district reporting.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in intervention.
