Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook.
• Ability to read and understand recipes and abbreviations.
• Catering experience with batch cooking and pre-prep work.
• Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
• Attentive and detail oriented; able to follow procedures and directions.
• Basic math skills for measurements and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food to recipe specifications and properly portions all items.
• Cooks food using oven, grill, or stove and ensures proper temperatures.
• Keeps workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and stocked.
• Packages products with dating and labeling.
• Performs opening/closing and side duties as instructed.
• Maintains health codes and sanitation regulations.
• Operates kitchen equipment and records waste on spoilage sheet.
• Other duties as assigned.
