Job summary

Paycom - ATS Main Campus in Front Royal, VA is seeking a Line Cook to prepare food according to recipes and production guidelines while strictly following food safety and sanitation standards.

You will set up your workstation, measure and prepare ingredients, and operate ovens, grills, slicers, and other kitchen equipment to produce meals. Flexibility for variable shifts and a positive attitude toward students and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work variable shifts, holidays, and special functions.
• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and other equipment.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use diverse cooking methods.
• Portion and garnish food according to guidelines.
• Store food safely per policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain customer service and positive attitude toward students, guests, coworkers.
• Adhere to safety policies and protect company assets.
• Other duties as assigned.
