Kendall Electric is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Grand Rapids, MI to be a dynamic member of the sales team. You will engage with customers and vendors, understand needs, and drive the sales process from inquiry to close.

You will maintain records, provide product submittals, and collaborate across departments to deliver solutions and meet sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ customer service, sales or distribution experience
• HS diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or computer systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries
• Communicate with customers and vendors through various channels
• Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
• Participate in sales and product training sessions
• Process orders and quotes in business system
• Provide vendor portal assistance to customers
• Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
• Explain and articulate product features and applications
• Make recommendations to customers for product selections
• Make outbound calls to customers and follow up on quotes and leads
• Understand customers’ needs and identify sales opportunities
• Maintain a database of current and potential customers
• Provide the customer product submittal sheets for their approval and track their progress
• Close sales and achieve sales targets
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
