Job summary

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor for West Suburban YMCA in Wauwatosa, WI. You will deliver engaging adult fitness classes under the supervision of the Fitness Director, prioritizing safety, member experience, and alignment with the YMCA mission.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior group exercise experience; cross-training across formats is supported.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 18 years old minimum.
• Previous experience leading/instructing fitness classes is preferred.
• Ability to teach more than one format is preferred - cross training provided for most formats.

Responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe group fitness classes as directed by the Fitness Director.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote wellness.
• Build rapport with members and encourage engagement in YMCA programs.
• Follow all YMCA policies and safety procedures; report incidents as needed.
