Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County seeks a part-time Group Exercise Instructor for West Suburban YMCA in Wauwatosa, WI. You will lead adult fitness classes under the direction of the Fitness Director, delivering engaging, safe sessions and excellent customer service to members.

Responsibilities include completing required training, maintaining class attendance records, promoting YMCA programs, and supporting wellness goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18.
• Previous experience leading/instructing fitness classes preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to teach more than one format is preferred; cross-training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe, and effective adult fitness classes as directed by the Fitness Director.
• Build rapport with members and promote YMCA programs and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and proper use of studio equipment.
• Follow YMCA policies and safety procedures and respond to emergencies when needed.
• Promote regular class participation and member engagement.
