Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions in Cincinnati is recruiting a Commercial Closing Agent/Paralegal to manage and coordinate all aspects of commercial real estate closings for a title company. You will prepare title commitments, draft closing documents, and coordinate escrow activities while ensuring underwriter compliance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in commercial real estate transactions including title insurance, escrow, or closings.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s in business, real estate, or paralegal preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with title software like SoftPro or RamQuest is a plus.
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with national title underwriters and ALTA practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of commercial real estate closings as the primary contact for clients and transaction parties.
• Prepare, review, and issue title insurance commitments, endorsements, and policies per underwriting guidelines.
• Draft and assemble closing documents, settlement statements, escrow instructions, and transfer documents.
• Obtain and maintain underwriter approvals for complex title matters and endorsements.
• Coordinate receipt, disbursement, and reconciliation of escrow funds per instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate status updates to stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic transaction files per policy.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and materials to facilitate closings.
