Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG, and required tests at our Ridgewood location. The role includes accurate EMR documentation per policy and collaboration with the practice staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities also cover front desk tasks such as patient registration, billing support, and insurance coordination, with emphasis on high-quality care and compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Current and valid certification as Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT, AAMA, NCCT) required.
• Previous MA experience in a clinic/physician's office or outpatient setting with customer service/data entry/clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and required tests.
• Document accurately in the EMR per VMG policies and licensure.
• Handle front desk tasks: patient registration, billing, and insurance.
• Support care team and maintain smooth workflow with practice staff.
