Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey; certification required.
• 6 months of customer service/clerical/office experience required.
• MA experience in a clinic/physician office preferred.
• BCLS certification preferred; may be required on hire.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical activities under physician/Charge RN or Manager, including patient intake, blood draw, EKG, and related tests.
• Document accurately in the EMR system per policy and licensure.
• Greet, register, verify insurance, and collect payments at time of service; manage the daily patient schedule and calls.
