Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ seeks a Medical Assistant to perform direct clinical activities, patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and related tests, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation. The role supports staff workflow, registration, billing and insurance processes in a busy clinic.

Ideal candidates have a NJ-certified Medical Assistant program, valid MA credentials, and prior clinic or outpatient experience with strong customer service and data entry skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey.
• Current and valid certification as a medical assistant or registered medical assistant recognized by the Board of Examiners.
• Experience as MA in a clinic, physician's office or outpatient setting with customer service/data entry/clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and related tests as directed.
• Document in EMR per licensure and VMG policies.
• Support front desk tasks including patient registration, billing, and insurance.
