Job summary

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company, seeks a CEI Inspector to verify contractor work, materials, and traffic control on active TxDOT projects in Texas. You will monitor site activities, perform field sampling, inspect materials and traffic devices, and maintain records while supporting senior staff.

Requirements include 2–5+ years in construction inspection (bridge/roadway preferred), a valid driver's license, and willingness to obtain certifications. Day/night/weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent analytical, technical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Able to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-site construction activities.
• Perform field sampling and testing of component materials per contract.
• Inspect materials and completed work per plans, specs, and provisions.
• Inspect traffic control devices and equipment; report deficiencies.
• Maintain detailed records of daily operations and events.
• Prepare inspection reports.
• Participate in job safety practices and training.
• Support Senior Inspector and receive supervision as assigned.
• Work daytime, nighttime, or weekends as required.
• Ensure timely time sheets and expense reports.
• Pursue personal development and skill-building.
