Job summary

Verilife is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead a high-energy team and deliver a profitable cannabis dispensary operation. You will drive customer acquisition and loyalty, optimize merchandising, and ensure compliant store operations while developing talent and maintaining a safe, engaging work environment.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and financial acumen, with a focus on coaching staff and achieving KPIs in a fast-paced, regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of retail management experience; cannabis knowledge a plus.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ with multiple leadership layers.
• Ability to learn, apply and teach product-related information.
• Experience working with HR processes and teams.
• High integrity, motivation, and urgency.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong Excel/Data management skills.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding and coaching with clear accountability.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews; guide career development.
• Forecast headcount, scheduling, and labor to meet sales targets and labor laws.
• Drive profitable sales with strong customer service and program execution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and timely deliveries; oversee audits.
• Communicate with HR, Compliance, Security and Marketing to align store goals.
