Job summary

Waites Sensor Technologies, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing team in the Cincinnati area.

You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, setting meetings for Enterprise Account Executives and qualifying leads from target lists and campaigns. The role involves email outreach, outbound calling, and supporting sales operations to keep the pipeline moving.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic sales processes and lead qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with solid spreadsheet and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through.
• Self-starter with accountability and resilience.
• Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Drive outbound efforts through cold calling, email campaigns, and strategic social outreach to secure meetings for the sales team
• Consistently meet quarterly quota attainment to move prospects to scoping stage of the sales process
• Qualify leads from target lists and marketing-generated prospects
• Research and execute market-specific strategies and outreach plans tailored to target industries and accounts, moving them from first contact to initial appointment
• Leverage LinkedIn and other platforms to build connections and nurture relationships
• Support administrative and operational sales tasks as needed
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with both prospects and internal sales team members
• Continuously track toward and exceed defined sales goals
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives
