Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations and mentor a hands-on team. You will ensure quality service, safety and efficiency, while upholding our commitment to customer care.

The role reports to the Store Manager and requires a proactive leader who can manage inventory, schedule staff, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

Qualifications

• Motivated with hands-on management skills.
• Top-notch customer service skills with a desire to build long-term trust and relationships with customers.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Automotive experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently creating results for customers, teammates and the company.
• Greet customers courteously and provide a high level of customer service.
• Complete work accurately and quickly while customers remain in their vehicles.
• Perform courtesy tasks (e.g., clean windshield, lubricate hinges).
• Conduct multi-point inspections and identify additional repairs.
• Advise Service Consultant and/or VSI for additional mechanical work.
• Inspect fluid levels and identify worn belts/hoses/wiper blades.
• Check tire air pressure and maintain a safe workspace.
• Oversee store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
• Open/close the store and manage stock orders.
