Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 1+ year experience in child care or supervision.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of employment.
• Able to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Complies with state licensing and YMCA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise after-school program staff.
• Plan age-appropriate activities aligned with YMCA values.
• Provide daily snacks and HEPA-compliant activities.
• Maintain accurate records (sign-in/out, attendance, payments, timesheets).
• Ensure safety, conduct fire drills and Code 99 monthly.
• Manage program setup, opening/closing, and supply requests.
• Maintain confidentiality of children, families, staff.
• Communicate with parents and staff; attend staff meetings.
• Dispense medication with written parent consent.
