Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor to lead the School-Age Program site, ensuring programming aligns with our values, meets licensing, and supports youth development.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, design SEL-focused lesson plans, manage finances, engage families and schools, and uphold safety and compliance with state requirements. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience in childcare and staff supervision.
• Knowledge of youth development practices and child behavior management.
• CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire.
• Must complete state-mandated training (MODS) within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Program Management: Oversee daily operations and ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment.
• Staff and Volunteer Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers; lead weekly planning meetings.
• Family and Community Engagement: Build relationships with families, school staff, and community partners.
• Financial Management: Assist in budgeting, monitor site finances, and support fundraising activities.
• Safety and Emergency Response: Maintain safeguarding practices and document incidents; ensure compliant spaces and equipment.
• Leadership Competencies: Promote inclusion, build relationships, and demonstrate practical decision making.
