Job summary

YMCA of West Central Florida in Lakeland, FL is seeking an On-Site After School Program Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the program for children, ensuring high-quality activities aligned with the YMCA mission. You will supervise staff, plan age-appropriate activities, maintain records, and ensure compliance with PCSB, Early Learning Coalition and state licensing.

The role requires CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days, strong teamwork, and a commitment to safety, confidentiality, and building

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High school graduate or equivalent; one year of college preferred.
• One-two years of experience in child care, management, or equivalent.
• CPR, First Aid, & AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the after school program on-site for children.
• Lead age-appropriate activities aligned with YMCA mission and core values.
• Provide daily snacks and implement HEPA-compliant activities.
• Supervise staff to ensure direct child supervision at all times.
• Maintain accurate records (sign-in, attendance, payments, logs).
• Ensure program compliance with YMCA, PCSB, Early Learning Coalition, and state licensing.
• Collect program fees and manage late pick-up charges as needed.
• Open/close the after school program; submit equipment requests in writing.
• Dispense medication with written consent and director approval.
• Attend required staff meetings with at least 10 hours in-service yearly.
