Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a dedicated Before and After School Leader to help plan and implement the child care program in Colorado. You will assist the program director, supervise students, and foster strong relations with families and the school community.

The role involves enforcing licensing requirements, delivering quality programming, and contributing to lesson plans while maintaining safe, engaging environments for children in before/after care and full-day activities.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be 18+ and able to work with children.
• Either 3 months (455 hours) of verified childcare experience or an Early Childhood credential level I+.
• Annual training: at least 15 clock hours.
• Knowledge of childcare.
• Ability to develop appropriate discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.
• Supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Communicates with parents, students, staff and community.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Markets the program for before/after care and full days.
• Participates in professional development trainings as required.
• Assists to implement quality lesson plans for daily operation.
• Assists with equipment storage and repair.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Creates activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attends monthly program staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
