Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering care, documenting patient progress, and adjusting treatments within the plan as patient status requires.

This role emphasizes safety, respect for patients and families, and collaboration with the therapy team as we work to optimize patient comfort and outcomes. Licensure and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree.
• Licensure: Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Board of Physical Therapy in the applicable State of practice.
• Experience: Physical Therapist Assistant may be entry-level.
• Certifications: Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy and perform delegated procedures.
• Modify treatment procedures within the established plan as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and ensure patient safety in procedures.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide as directed.
