Job summary

Mercy Hospital seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in delivering prescribed physical therapy services. You will implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and ensure safety and dignity in care, while coordinating with therapy aides and other staff.

The role requires an Associate's degree and current PTA licensure in the applicable state, with Health Care Provider Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering prescribed physical therapy procedures.
• Modify treatment procedures within the supervising Physical Therapist's plan as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and reports.
• Coordinate workload and provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide as directed.
