Mercy seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering care to patients in the hospital setting.

The assistant will document progress, implement plan-of-care modifications as directed, and ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining respect and dignity for all patients and families. Responsibilities include coordinating workload with the PT aide and contributing to a collaborative therapy team.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Safely and effectively perform physical therapy procedures as directed.
• Address the age-specific needs of all patients and treat patients with dignity and respect.
• Identify and report patient safety issues when identified.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the PT aide as directed by the supervising therapist.
