Job summary

BMCC in New York City seeks an Academic Program Specialist to coordinate College Now dual enrollment initiatives and oversee partnerships with high schools and CUNY campuses. The role requires strategic oversight of program budgets, data-driven evaluation, and close collaboration with College Now leadership.

Reporting to the Director of College Now, you will manage databases, monitor outcomes, and work with NYC public schools, staff, and external partners to expand access to college readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience required.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
• Expertise in program management
• Experience in managing high-performing teams and programs through changing circumstances
• Proficiency in group facilitation, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of creative problem-solving
• Experience working collaboratively and cooperatively with a diverse community of staff, partners, and external constituents.
• Experience in data collection and analysis to support effective program operations and evaluation.
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft suite of programs and general digital literacy

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination of high school–college partnerships for Dual Enrollment/CUNY Early College schools, including coordination of Campus Liaisons;
• Maintain dual enrollment/early college program databases inclusive of CUNY 1st: related duties include accurate data input; on-time submission of standardized, scheduled reports; on-demand generation of reports on some categories of current operations data; and continuous analysis of program data systems for the purpose of continuous improvement of systems design.
• Coordinate student application/recruitment process and follow up with high schools and students to ensure enrollment.
• Engage with students, parents, schools, and professors as needed
• Perform standard Office functions: covers phones, answers emails to the program inbox; orders supplies; maintains files, etc.
• May supervise office operations related to and/or department budget related to job duties under the leadership of the program director.
• Other duties as assigned
• Participates in the daily coordination of academic and administrative activities of a College's specialized academic program under management direction.
• Supports program development, student service delivery, outcome evaluation and instructor/student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.
