Howard Community College seeks a Dual Enrollment Academic Coordinator to guide students and families through dual enrollment pathways, coordinating outreach, sessions, and information sharing across high schools and college partners.

The role supports student success by providing academic guidance, coordinating with faculty and staff, and delivering onboarding and transition programming to help students navigate college life and succeed in dual enrollment programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of experience with high school or college student populations.
• Two years of dual enrollment experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Datatel Colleague or similar, and CRM/Ellucian products.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic advising to dual enrollment students, including on-site support at partner high schools.
• Supports student success through retention and completion initiatives.
• Coordinates information sessions and outreach for dual enrollment pathways.
• Maintains student progress records and tracks course success and program completion.
• Develops outreach strategies for targeted populations and pre-enrollment support for prospective students.
• Serves as a point of contact for dual enrollment information to community constituents.
• Collaborates with high school counselors to support matriculation to college.
• Responds to inquiries about programs and services for students, parents, schools, and partners.
