Moraine Valley Community College is seeking an Early College Outreach Specialist to collaborate with high school partners, promote dual credit enrollment, and guide students through course selection and transitions to MVCC. You will work with academic and student development divisions to support student success and lifelong learning.

The role involves presenting to students and families, coordinating with counselors, and traveling within the district to promote MVCC programs and policies.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pursue several projects simultaneously with quality results.
• Ability to relate to a variety of student populations and learners.
• Demonstrated experience with conducting group presentations or trainings.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with high school personnel to recruit dual credit students.
• Provide academic pathways guidance for dual credit students and interpret placement scores.
• Inform students about campus resources and refer to available services.
• Plan and deliver presentations at high schools, college fairs, and on-campus events.
• Support high school counselors with college advising and dual credit processes.
• Coordinate with MVCC departments to promote dual credit curricula and policies.
• Assist enrollment for dual credit students and transitions to MVCC after graduation.
• Attend evening/weekend events and travel within the district as needed.
• Develop familiarity with the college catalog, programs, and policies.
• Stay updated on advising practices and IL Dual Credit Quality Act requirements.
