Job summary

Mohawk Valley Community College is seeking an Admissions Specialist in Utica, NY to join the Admissions team. The role reports to the Director of Admissions and helps develop and implement recruitment plans to meet enrollment objectives by engaging high school counselors, adult learners, and community partners.

Responsibilities include representing MVCC at events, planning recruitment activities, advising prospective students on programs and career pathways, reviewing applications, and traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Experience in admissions, recruitment or counseling.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout New York State.

Responsibilities

• Represents the College at recruiting events.
• Coordinates, plans, and participates in recruitment activities.
• Provides information to prospective students on programs and pathways.
• Reviews records, applications, and interviews prospective students for admission recommendations.
• Travels as required.
• Supports recruitment priorities with admissions staff.
