Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited is seeking a DSP/Work & Community Support (Career Resource Specialist) to engage individuals in work, recreation, and activities that promote living a preferred lifestyle in their community. The role involves on-site job support, coaching, and helping individuals participate in activities to build independence.

The position includes daily community-based travel with mileage reimbursement and a daytime, Monday–Friday schedule (part-time flexibility available).

Qualifications

• Experience in high-touch customer service environments.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team while able to work independently.
• Comfortable using MS Office and documenting notes in an electronic system.

• Act as coach and advocate to foster workplace success.

DSP/Work & Community Support (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist)

engage individuals in work, recreation, and other personal activities that promote living a preferred lifestyle in their community. Work & Community Support gives the individual the opportunity to participate in activities that will put them on a path to independence.

Typical day might include the following:

• Provide long-term, on-site, job support for the duration of an individual's employment
• Serve as their coach and advocate to foster success in the workplace
• Support their participation in volunteer and/or other recreational activities to help develop self-advocacy, independent living and communication skills
• Engage in daily community-based travel, providing transportation as you actively accompany individuals to work, volunteer and community sites to build their path to independence.

• Valid driver's license and comfortable traveling within your local community
• Monday - Friday, daytime business hours (flexibility offered for part-time)

Pay: $19-$21 per hour
