Job summary

WellLife Network is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help New Yorkers with developmental disabilities thrive at home and in the community. You will provide hands-on care, support daily living activities, and advocate for participants in partnership with clinicians and staff.

The role requires a High School diploma, fluency in English, and a NYS driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience. A compassionate, patient approach is essential for success in this meaningful work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent English for client communication.
• NY driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle for driving positions.
• Experience supporting adults with IDD or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and daily living support to individuals.
• Administer medications as directed and monitor health needs.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safety in home settings.
• Support behavioral health needs with respectful strategies.
• Plan recreational and social activities to promote belonging.
• Assist with communication tools and advocate for needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and maintain records.
